Having your inhaler technique checked to make sure you are using your inhalers correctly and as prescribed could make a big improvement to your Asthma control. Using your inhalers correctly ensures that the full dose of the medication gets to the lungs where it is needed to prevent  or relieve your asthma. Your Annual Asthma Review is an opportunity to check that you are doing this correctly and if necessary  to discuss changing to a different type of inhaler device that you may prefer or find easier to use correctly. The more effectively your preventer medication is working, the less likely you are to be affected by flare ups in your asthma.
